I have worked with Pete and his team on two pairs of skis; one pair for alpine touring in France and the other for skiing on eastern hard-pack. Being 6’7” tall, I found many of the off the shelf skis were good, but lost their “wow factor” within a short period. They just do not hold up compared to my Wagner’s. Pete put me in a 93mm underfoot ski for French Alps and I was shocked at how well they floated and provide very solid edge hold. I really now understand the importance of rocker and how it helps the ski perform. Pete spent a good half hour with me discussing my skiing style and what I was looking for. Of course I wanted one ski to do everything, and Pete delivered. These boards are holding up really well with no sign of flex loss. The edges are double what I have on my stock skis, so they should provide me a much longer life.

Now living back on the east coast I decided to test Pete and his team for a do all ski: frozen granular, hard-pack powder (aka ice), real powder, slush, etc. All the great conditions you find in New England. I wanted the ski to handle aggressive morning runs and be forgiving enough for when I get tired in the afternoon resulting in some very lazy skiing. So far, in 35 F weather the skis did amazing and when it was 2 F with “hard pack” the skis shinned. My first venture with custom skis (not Wagner) was a bust and these boards collect dust in my basement. My experience with Wagner has been fantastic and I am very pleased with my investment. I firmly believe the construction and edges will last the equivalent of two stock skis, so the investment for a super built ski that is dialed to your likings is worth it. My quiver is down to three skis (I have a stock race ski) that hit anything I would want to ski. Highly recommend you give Wagner a call and at least speak with Pete and his team.

I believe! Got my custom skis last year and can't take them off. My powder skis, my race skis both retired. The whole process is a great experience. They made my skis right to my needs. Fun is the word. I also got the exact colors and graphics. I really encourage anyone who has ever wondered why skis can't be their best to contact Wagner and create YOUR skis.

No BS. If you want the absolute best ride / performance boards possible then you have found them. Pete will work with you until you are 100% satisfied. You might be thinking of the cost... My Wag's replaced three sets: Front side carvers, All mountain and pow. You figure each of those setups came in around 1K so I am still spending more then the Wag's with far less performance. The only time I break out the extra big fatties is when it's an epic dump and I need the extra float. No matter what I put them in they performed above my expectations. Best money I have ever spent -- well except for Helga, the tall leggy blonde Swedish instructor. Imagine what she would look like on a pair of Wagner's?

Pete Wagner, Scott and his crew are very professional. From my DNA layout, updates on production with pics, shipping info and everything arriving on time. My new Royal Ebony wood top sheet pow skis are out of this world beautiful!! We don't get to ski pow every day, but these stay in our A frame and are displayed proudly as Art...Cheers!!

Really impressive and interesting business model and customer approach. Great communication through the specification, design and manufacturing process. Straight forward on shipping skis once they were done. The skis themselves are great – exactly the characteristics I was after. So much fun! And they look fantastic. I managed to hit a rock on first few days out, and repair guys commented on just how solid the skis are. Overall, very pleased!
